Runway's API changelog adds Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro, Kling 3.0, and Kling O3 on 13 October. Seedance 2.5 draft mode, in Agent from 2 October, makes a fast 480p preview.

Runway's API changelog lists Kling models on its developer API from 13 October, and the product changelog lists a fast draft mode for Seedance 2.5 in Agent from 2 October. One account is becoming a front door to several vendors' models.

## What the release notes say

These dates are from Runway's own API changelog and product changelog:

- 13 October. Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro, Kling 3.0, and Kling O3 on Runway Dev. 2.5 takes text or a start frame. 3.0 takes text or first and last frames, for 3 to 15 seconds. O3 adds reference images and video-to-video edits. Kling 4.0 is not in that entry.
- 12 October. Ideogram 4.5 and 4.0 added for image generation. Ideogram 4.5 takes up to five reference images and can edit through a mask.
- 6 October. Nano Banana 2.1 added, with up to 14 reference images and minimal, medium, or high thinking.
- 2 October. Seedance 2.5 Draft Mode in Agent, producing fast 480p drafts with a later enhancement. The API changelog dates the same draft flag to 28 September: a 480p preview, then a 1080p enhancement from that preview.
- 1 October. Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite on Runway Dev, a lower-cost option at 480p, 720p, and 1080p. The changelog says 1080p is rendered at 720p and upscaled.

## Why a multi-model platform helps

One account, one billing relationship, and one set of project files for several models make comparison easier. You can run the same prompt across models and judge them side by side. The draft mode follows the draft-then-enhance method we described for FLUX 3: explore at 480p, then spend on the shots you keep.

## What to check first

- Terms per model. A platform that hosts third-party models passes through their licence terms. Read each one, especially for commercial use.
- Feature parity. HDR, reference limits, and duration may differ between the vendor's own app and the platform's API. Our Kling staggered-launch guide made this point, and this changelog's Kling list is 2.5, 3.0, and O3.
- Data handling. Know where your references and prompts go when a model is hosted by someone else.
- Naming. Check exactly which version and tier you are calling. Our model-claims checklist covers how names drift.

## A working pattern

Draft on the cheapest tier, shortlist shots, and re-render finals on the model that best matches the scene. In RenderBob this is a per-clip choice, with local or cloud generation and references kept with the studio.

## What to watch

Whether Runway adds the Kling 4.0 line, and whether the credit rates in the API changelog match each vendor's own app. The changelog already publishes those rates. It does not put each model's licence terms on one page.
