Variety India's 19 October roundup puts VisionQuest, Mercy, and The Social Reckoning in one frame. The headline names Artificial. The article text we read gives it no dates.

Variety India published a roundup on 19 October, by Ayushi Agrawal. The headline names The Social Reckoning, VisionQuest, and Artificial. The article text we read describes a short list of October tech stories, and it does not give Artificial a cast, a festival, or a release date.

## What the roundup lists

- The Social Reckoning, a follow-up to The Social Network, about Mark Zuckerberg, free speech, and engagement versus user safety. It names Frances Haugen and Jeff Horwitz. The paragraph does not mention an AI depiction.
- VisionQuest, a Paul Bettany series after WandaVision, set in Vision's digital mind. The AI personas named are Ultron, J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., and E.D.I.T.H. No date.
- Mercy, with Chris Pratt as a detective in a legal fight with an AI judge. No date.
- Musk, a documentary on Elon Musk. No date.
- Project Hail Mary, described only as a space mission that goes wrong.

## Artificial, from the pages that name dates

Our 17 October note followed Screen Daily: a 25 December US opening, with New York and London festival screenings set for early October. Variety reported on 1 September that the world premiere was set for 5 October at the New York Film Festival, with Andrew Garfield as Sam Altman, Monica Barbaro as Mira Murati, and Yura Borisov as Ilya Sutskever. Variety's 14 October piece treats the London Film Festival premiere as already done. A separate Variety India article also puts US theatres on 25 December 2026. The 19 October roundup does not say any of that. We have not found a January 2027 British premiere in these pages.

## For a production using the tools

Audiences are being shown AI as a character, a villain, a judge, or a mind full of personas. Beside that, the Hub survey we covered on 16 October found that 72% of 2,500 US respondents wanted AI use disclosed every time.

- Name the tools you used.
- In the marketing, keep a film about AI separate from a film made with AI.
- Artificial is on Neon's slate with a December US date in the trades, so the subject stays in awards coverage through the end of the year.

For the shots you generate, RenderBob lets you choose local or cloud for each clip and keep the references with the studio.

## What to watch

Whether the 25 December date holds, and how reviews describe the way Artificial portrays AI. The roundup still gives no dates for VisionQuest, Mercy, or The Social Reckoning.
