Higgsfield's changelog for Kling 4.0 lists 720p or 1080p. Kling's own launch materials, as we reported on 17 October, mention 4K. The changelog is our only source.

Higgsfield's changelog entry for Kling 4.0 describes output of 720p or 1080p, while Kling's own launch materials, as we reported on 17 October, mention 4K. The difference may be a platform choice, and the changelog is our only source.

## What the listing says

Higgsfield's changelog for 21 October says Kling 4.0 generates from text, an image or references, and can edit finished clips. Output is 3 to 30 seconds at 720p or 1080p. A limited launch discount applied from 21 October. It gives no reference count and no price per second in the entry we read.

## What we reported from Kling's side

Our 17 October piece, which drew on explainers of Kling's launch, listed resolution options of 720p, 1080p or 4K, a 30-second maximum and 15 reference slots, with 10-bit HDR, two-minute extension and API access marked "coming soon". Other platforms list the model too. Luma's news page showed a Kling 4.0 post on 23 October, which we could not open, and Runway's October notes list earlier Kling models.

## What this shows

A platform's listing reflects what that platform has switched on, at what price, and what its summary chooses to say. It may differ from the vendor's launch sheet because of resolution tiers, plan limits, or a short changelog line. We cannot tell which applies here.

## How to check before you quote or plan around a model

- Use the platform's own listing for resolution, duration, reference count and price, not the vendor's launch post.
- Test the exact settings you need on a short clip.
- Check the plan. Features can depend on subscription tier.
- Compare cost per usable clip across platforms, not the price per second.
- Re-check after a few weeks. Listings change.
- Record the platform and version for each shot in your prompt log.

## What to watch

Higgsfield's full model page, whether it adds 4K and a reference count, and independent comparisons of the same model across platforms.

## RenderBob 3 and this story

In RenderBob 3 the model is a per-clip choice, so when one platform's listing of a model is narrower than the vendor's launch sheet, you can route that shot to another option without rebuilding the cut.
